Founder
R.P. HUTCHISON:
RP has spent a lifetime in the advertising industry. With over 40 years of experience in media, he has worked tirelessly implementing tried and true strategies. While many in the agency business focus on the newest buzz words in the industry, RP has always focused solely on results. His successes speak for themselves, as many of the core accounts have been clients of the agency for many years. In his early career RP was, not surprisingly, the top salesperson at both WMNI and WXGT radio stations. He parlayed success in the street to an equally successful stint in sales management. The lure of the agency business proved to be his calling, and in 1988 RP purchased the Hutchison advertising brand from his father, continuing an already deep legacy in the media business. It would be difficult to find a man more dedicated to advertising than RP Hutchison. With decades of experience in the field, and a family history of advertising success, his experience and passion for the job is unsurpassed. He prides himself and his company on their low attrition rate, as the strength of the company continues to grow year after year. RP loves OSU football, a good crossword puzzle, and any opportunity to negotiate!
JIM PONTIUS:
Jim “Jeep” Pontius has over 30 years of experience in media, having spent time in the radio industry sitting in every chair, from salesperson to general manager. “Jeep” has helped hundreds of clients gain significant results utilizing effective media strategies within the broadcast medium. Additionally, during that time, he trained and developed numerous teams of salespeople. Pontius also utilized those training skills during ownership of Betterbiz Management, doing management/executive consulting work within a wide variety of industries. In addition, he’s been able to help clients on a deeper level, holding certifications in both behavioral finance from the Perth Leadership Institute and as a Gitomer certified advisor. Jim has also served as chairman of the board of the Central Ohio BBB and as a former president of the Leukemia Society board of directors. Pontius is proud to join Hutchison Media in partnership with RP Hutchison, a longtime mentor and associate and help extend the 50+ year legacy and brand of Hutchison Media. Jeep most enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, loves to fish, and spend time wrestling with the family pug frank.

MIKE RUDD:
Mike has been in the media industry since 2004. His proven passionate marketing programs, digital strategy, and digital planning will help you keep a focus towards the future of your company. His background of 100% commission sales, marketing strategy, content marketing, social media strategy, digital advertising, entrepreneurship, event planning, and crowdfunding will push your company forward in the ever changing business landscape. Mike helped launch a free kids basketball camp in Columbus, has written two books, is a distinguished toastmaster, created multiple online business programs, written over 500 blog posts, ran one full and multiple half marathons, been a volunteer youth basketball coach for over a decade, and visited over 20 of america’s national parks. Mike loves spending time with his wonderful wife in German Village, family and friends from around the world, traveling, volunteering, cooking, good beer, red wine, hiking, and walking dogs!
